Brake calipers for marina - Who are you using?

I am gradually sorting out my LWB 1.8 marina based roadster to get it on the road after 20 years on SORN. I am now looking at the brakes. The rears are fine but the front calipers were seized up on both sides. After a lot of work yesterday I managed to extract the brake pads and removed the brake calipers. All 4 pistons were seized solid. So after all that time standing and corroding, I'm not going to take any chances and aim to replace them. The question is, in 2026, which is the best supplier to turn to? Bigg Red has been mentioned in the past, but after looking at their website and ebay store, they only seem to offer repair kits, not full sets of calipers?

On Ebay there is a company offering a pair of refurbed calipers for £220 exchange (with free delivery) called SSL and finally there are the Grumpy Marina type calipers offered by ESM Morris Minor spares for £226.80 inc VAT, but it will involve replacing the short brake pipe as the connection is in a different location on the caliper than the normal one.

Anyone got any ideas as to which type is going to be best? Or is there another source that I'm not aware of or perhaps the Marlin Owners Club has a deal with a suitable supplier for a good price?

    Any help gratefully received.

If you are referring to SSL Autoparts Wakefield I wouldn't let them near any part of my car again. There after service is shocking and this reviewer seems to have had a similar experience

When I replaced mine I just googled Triumph type 14 callipers. The likes of Rimmer and Ang have them at around £50 each side but I got mine from RTG Auto: .https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154932341...oAAOSwuddieOCq

No doubt these new ones all come from somewhere in China but I've not had any problems with them over the last three years.

The hole for the brake line is in a different place but the pipe can be made to fit with a bit of carefful bending.

Since then I have drained the system, removed the rear cylinders, removed the calipers and will also be replacing all the flexible pipes too. In addition, if I actually manage to remove the pistons, won't the cylinder bores be corroded and pitted? The reason why I ask is that the other week I removed the clutch slave cylinder as it wasn't working and found the bore to be badly corroded and pitted. In the end I bought a reworked slave cylinder on exchange which had stainless a steel bore lining? Or am I wrong and in fact it is the pistons that corrode in the calipers not the bores?

Many thanks for the info. So apart from the position of the brake line inlet, everything including the brake pads etc is identical then? Wow that is a huge difference in price. I suppose my main thought is I want 100% guarantee that my car will stop on command. Rimmer Brothers is very well known so I may go that route and still save a lot of money.
