    Wheel nut torque

    G’Day All
    Today I took the front Wheels off to clean and polish them and as I went to put them back on I realized that I did not know the torque settings for the wheel nuts .The studs are so small compared to my other vehicles ,the Marlin is a 1994 YKC Marine based roadster and the wheels I think are Gemimi 5-1/2 -13’sa and the wheel nuts come with washers .Any ideas on proper setting I have set them for now at 50 lbs .

      Torque wrench settings are here or there
      MOC member since 05/97
      1984 Marlin Roadster SWB.
      1800TC, Unleaded ported head, stage 2 cam. Ford Type 9 gearbox, Dolomite Sprint rear axle fitted with MGF disc brakes.
      Three core radiator, Renault Clio vented front discs.

          You wasnt far out as the WSM says 48lbf/ft or 6.6 kgf/m is the spec for steel wheels as a guide. With alloy wheels its best to re check after first run out.

              I've been using 42 lb ft
              Mk2 SWB Marina Roadster with a 2.0L Pinto built in 1986

                  Thanks guys I think I will go with 43when I re do them after a 100KM run.
