    Marlin special axle U bolts

As part of my Dolomite axle install I need to replace the axle U bolts that were an original Marlin part.
The Marina axle was lowered by Marlin special tapered blocks so no standard Marina parts are long enough to fit.

Does anyone have a source of these U bolts as they are all likely to be 25 years old, and rusted and weak like mine.

You'll be lucky. I had to use Mark One Escort ones can't remember here I got them though. it was on line. The holes in the mounting plates will need to be enlarged.

      Steve,
The best bet is to get these made to your sizes on your car and block heights, Just made so for one of my roadsters. A good machine shop should be able to do this for you

When I bought my new springs I got some bolts at the same time from http://www.jones-springs.co.uk/home.htm - must admit I took my lowering blocks out as I was raising the back for trialing, but the may well be able to help you as the seemed to have a supply of most sizes.

Thanks guys. I didnt want to use escort units as it would mean drilling out the plates etc and they would need further bending to give a snug fit around the axle.

Jones can do them but the price is frightening for a set of 4. Near enough £10.00 each.

The price will drop significantly if others would like some for future use.
Are there any takers out there, for a group buy for everyones benefit.
