I don't know if anyone else has noticed this on ebay but it could be a steel and looks well made.

Yes, but be cautious, I think it came from Q486 GBF, which was a much modified T based Roadster and had a BMW engine
This is copied from Ben Caswells' Pitstop article on the car :
In the course of the rebuild Barry has constructed his own exhaust manifold to clear the steering column as well as new inlet manifolds
to take twin SU’s that replaced the temperamental original. Along with all the tunnel mods he has also lowered the wing line and built
three-inch deeper doors, similar to Gwynn Powell’s car. Another challenge was to overcome the fact that a previous owner had cut off
the windscreen frame. So Barry fabricated a replacement that allows the glass to be replaced without pulling half the car apart.
With the project nearing completion Barry then decided a hard top and rigid side windows would be nice. So, yes, he made those as well.

I put a bid in with 99p showing for the hard top and won it! then he pulled it.
Now it's back at @ 99p for 6 days.

I think a fair offer would have bought the hard top. However it really should remain with the car in my opinion.Comment
